DEENPU TCM Tubing Head

Product Overview

DEENPU TCM Tubing Heads are engineered for demanding wellhead applications where reliable tubing suspension and annular sealing are paramount. Attached directly to the casing spool, the tubing head forms the structural foundation of the completion assembly, supporting the full weight of the production tubing string while providing a pressure-tight barrier between the production bore and the casing annulus.

Our TCM tubing heads feature a straight-bore, high-capacity design that maximizes flow area and minimizes turbulence. This configuration not only improves flow characteristics but also simplifies the installation and retrieval of tubing hangers and completion equipment. The standard BG bottom preparation, used with the PE 4-0 secondary seal bushing, provides reliable secondary sealing that enhances overall well integrity.

DEENPU tubing heads are available in multiple configurations spanning top flange sizes from 11″ to 13-5/8″, bottom flange sizes from 7-1/16″ to 11″, and working pressures from 2,000 PSI to 10,000 PSI. Side outlets are available in line pipe and studded configurations to accommodate production and annulus flow requirements. All designs are manufactured to API 6A specifications with full material traceability and pressure testing.

How It Works

The tubing head is installed on top of the casing spool after the production casing has been run and cemented. It is bolted to the casing spool using API studs and a ring gasket seal. The tubing head provides the landing seat for the tubing hanger, which suspends the production tubing string within the wellbore.

Once the tubing hanger is landed in the tubing head bowl, lockdown screws in the adapter bonnet (installed above the tubing head) are tightened to compress the hanger seal against the bowl profile. This establishes a pressure-tight seal between the production bore and the casing annulus. The side outlets on the tubing head provide access to the annulus for monitoring, pressure control, and production.

The BG secondary preparation in the tubing head bottom, combined with the PE 4-0 secondary seal bushing, provides an additional barrier against annular pressure. This redundancy is a critical safety feature that protects against well control incidents and ensures regulatory compliance. The straight-bore design facilitates easy passage of downhole tools and completion equipment during installation and workover operations.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is BG secondary preparation?
BG secondary preparation refers to a machined profile in the bottom of the tubing head that accepts a PE 4-0 (or compatible) secondary seal bushing. This bushing creates an additional pressure-tight seal between the tubing head and the casing spool, providing a redundant barrier against annular pressure. This secondary seal is a critical safety feature that enhances overall well integrity and is a standard feature on DEENPU TCM tubing heads.

What tubing hangers are compatible with TCM heads?
DEENPU TCM tubing heads accept a wide variety of tubing hanger styles including mandrel type hangers (TC1A, TC1A-B, TC1A-EN, TC1A-CH) and wrap-around type hangers (TC1W). The straight-bore design of the TCM head allows for easy landing and retrieval of all standard tubing hanger types. The BG secondary preparation is compatible with standard PE 4-0 seal bushings.

What outlet types are available?
DEENPU TCM tubing heads are available with line pipe (LP) outlets and studded (Std) outlets. LP outlets provide a threaded connection for standard line pipe, while studded outlets allow for bolted flange connections. Outlet sizes range from 1-13/16″ to 2-1/16″ depending on the pressure rating and configuration. Both outlet types provide access to the casing annulus for monitoring, pressure control, and production.

Can I get a tubing head for sour gas service?
Yes. DEENPU can manufacture tubing heads in NACE MR0175 compliant materials for H2S sour gas environments. Sour service tubing heads feature controlled-hardness materials (maximum HRC 22), NACE-compliant bolting, and H2S-resistant sealing elements. Please specify sour service requirements when ordering to ensure the correct material configuration.

What certifications are provided?
Standard documentation includes Material Test Reports (MTRs), hydrostatic test certificates, dimensional inspection reports, and Certificate of Conformance. Upon request we provide NACE compliance certificates, NDE reports (MPI, UT), API 6A monogram certification, and country-specific import documentation.

What is the typical lead time?
Standard TCM tubing heads typically ship within 8-10 weeks from order confirmation. Custom configurations or special material requirements may extend lead time to 12-14 weeks. Contact our sales team for current stock availability and expedited delivery options.
