Product Overview

DEENPU Casing Spools are critical wellhead components installed on the conductor or surface casing to suspend subsequent casing strings and seal the annulus between casing sizes. As the foundation of the wellhead assembly, casing spools must reliably support the immense weight of multiple casing strings while maintaining pressure integrity throughout the life of the well.

Our CH-22 and CH-29 casing spools are available in both BP (wear bushing retention) and L (full lock screw) configurations. BP spools are supplied with 2 lock screws for wear bushing retention, providing a simple, economical solution for standard completions. L spools feature a full set of lock screws for casing hanger and pack-off retention, offering enhanced load capacity and sealing reliability for demanding applications.

All DEENPU casing spools feature BG bottom preparation with PE or 4-0 secondary seal bushing compatibility as standard. Side outlets are available in line pipe (LP) or studded (Std) configurations to accommodate production and annulus flow requirements.

How It Works

The casing spool is installed on the surface casing head after the surface casing has been run and cemented. It provides the landing seat for the next casing hanger, which suspends the intermediate or production casing string. The spool body contains side outlets that provide access to the annulus between casing strings for monitoring, pressure control, and cement returns.

After the casing is landed and cemented, the casing hanger is seated in the spool bowl. For L-type spools, the full set of lock screws is tightened to compress the pack-off seal and secure the casing hanger. For BP-type spools, the 2 lock screws retain the wear bushing only, with the primary seal established through the casing hanger or the next wellhead component above.

The BG bottom preparation with secondary seal bushing creates an additional pressure-tight seal at the interface between the casing spool and the component below, providing a redundant barrier for enhanced well integrity.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between BP and L casing spools?
BP spools are supplied with 2 lock screws for wear bushing retention only, designed for simpler completions. L spools have a full set of lock screws that retain both the casing hanger and pack-off seal, providing enhanced load capacity and more robust sealing for demanding applications.
What secondary seal options are available?
DEENPU casing spools feature standard BG bottom preparation compatible with PE and 4-0 secondary seal bushings. These create a redundant pressure-tight seal at the spool-to-component interface. Other configurations available upon request.
What is the maximum working pressure?
