Product Overview

DEENPU Adjustable Chokes are engineered to provide precise, reliable flow control in demanding well service applications including hydraulic fracturing, flowback, well testing, and coiled tubing operations. By combining a solid carbide tip with a precision FL/TC (flat/tapered) seat design, DEENPU adjustable chokes deliver improved accuracy and a significant increase in service life compared to conventional choke designs.

The heart of each DEENPU adjustable choke is the replaceable solid carbide orifice tip. How It Works

DEENPU adjustable chokes function as a precision flow restriction device. High-pressure fluid enters the choke through the 1502 female inlet and passes through a variable orifice formed by the carbide tip and the FL/TC seat. By rotating the handwheel, the operator moves the carbide-tipped stem relative to the seat, varying the effective flow area and controlling the downstream flow rate and pressure.

The carbide tip is the critical wear component. Made from solid tungsten carbide, it withstands the high-velocity abrasive flow of sand, proppant, and formation fluids far longer than conventional hardened steel or ceramic inserts. When the carbide tip eventually wears, the operator can replace it on location using standard hand tools. The thumb screw locking stem feature ensures that once the desired flow setting is achieved, the choke position is locked securely and will not drift under vibration or pressure pulsation.

The FL/TC seat design provides a precision-matched surface for the carbide tip to seal against. The flat/tapered geometry ensures consistent contact and minimizes leakage when the choke is in the fully closed position. The seat is also field-replaceable, allowing complete choke rebuild capability without workshop support.
