Product Overview

DEENPU Adapter Bonnets are critical wellhead components designed to connect the tubing hanger to the wellhead casing spool or tubing head, providing a sealed pathway for production tubing while maintaining pressure integrity. Manufactured to API 6A specifications, our adapter bonnets are available in six standard configurations to match the most common tubing hanger and wellhead assembly requirements.

Each DEENPU adapter bonnet is precision-machined from high-quality alloy steel forgings, with critical sealing surfaces finished to tight tolerances for reliable metal-to-metal sealing. The flange connections are machined to API 6A dimensional standards, ensuring full interchangeability with standard API wellhead equipment. All bonnets are pressure-tested and certified before shipment to verify seal integrity and structural strength.

DEENPU adapter bonnets are available in 7-1/16″ and 11″ bottom flange sizes, with top flange or thread connections ranging from 2-1/16″ to 4-1/16″ and working pressures from 2,000 PSI to 10,000 PSI. Multiple tubing size options are available within each configuration to match your specific completion requirements.

How It Works

Adapter bonnets serve as the uppermost component of the wellhead assembly above the tubing hanger. They provide a sealed connection between the tubing hanger and the Christmas tree or flowline equipment, while containing the production pressure within the wellhead.

The adapter bonnet is mounted on the top flange of the tubing head or casing spool using API ring gaskets and stud bolts. The lower portion of the bonnet matches the API flange of the wellhead component below, while the upper portion provides either a flange connection (for attaching a Christmas tree or valve assembly) or a threaded connection (for attaching tubing or coupling).

Inside the adapter bonnet, a seal bore or polished bore receptacle accommodates the tubing hanger or packoff seal, providing a pressure-tight barrier between the production tubing and the annulus. The bonnet design ensures that all pressure-containing surfaces are properly rated for the maximum anticipated well pressure, with safety factors meeting or exceeding API 6A requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between BO-2 and B2P adapter bonnets?
The BO-2 adapter is a coupling adapter that works with the BO-2 coupling as an entire assembly to suspend the tubing. The B2P adapter fits with the TC-1A tubing hanger family. The key difference is the tubing hanger interface: BO-2 uses a coupling assembly, while B2P is designed for the TC-1A hanger. Both are available in 7-1/16″ bottom flange with similar top flange options.

Can B1 adapter bonnets be used without a coupling?
Yes, the B1 adapter bonnet is a single flange design that can be used with or without a coupling. When used without a coupling, the tubing threads directly into the bonnet. When used with a coupling, the coupling provides additional connection flexibility. The B1 is available with thread sizes from 2-3/8″ through 3-1/2″ in 7-1/16″ bottom flange size.

Are TC-CL, TC-EN and TC-CC bonnets interchangeable?
While TC-CL, TC-EN and TC-CC bonnets share the same basic dimensional envelope and pressure ratings, they are designed for different tubing hanger seal types. The CL, EN and CC suffixes refer to the specific seal configuration and lockdown mechanism. It is important to match the bonnet type to the corresponding tubing hanger to ensure proper sealing and load capacity. Contact DEENPU engineering for assistance with selecting the correct configuration.

What is the maximum working pressure available?
DEENPU adapter bonnets are available with working pressures up to 10,000 PSI. The specific pressure rating depends on the flange size, configuration type, and material grade. For 7-1/16″ bottom flange, 10,000 PSI is available in most configurations. For 11″ bottom flange, 10,000 PSI is available in select TC-series configurations. Lower pressure ratings (2,000, 3,000 and 5,000 PSI) are also available for less demanding applications.

What material certifications are provided?
Standard documentation includes Material Test Reports (MTRs) documenting chemical composition, mechanical properties (yield strength, tensile strength, elongation, hardness), and heat treatment records. Upon request, we provide NACE MR0175 compliance certificates, NDE reports (MPI, UT), and third-party inspection certificates. All material is fully traceable from raw material to finished product.

What is the typical lead time for adapter bonnets?
Standard adapter bonnets typically ship within 6-8 weeks from order confirmation. Custom configurations or special material requirements may extend lead time to 10-12 weeks. DEENPU maintains an inventory of common configurations for faster delivery. Contact our sales team for current stock availability and expedited delivery options.
