DEENPU trash catchers protect downstream equipment by efficiently removing debris, sand, and solids from high-pressure well service flow streams. Field-proven designs with precision-machined components, available in 2″, 3″, and 4″ sizes with 1502 and 1002 connections.
DEENPU Trash Catchers are essential protection devices used in high-pressure well service operations to remove debris, sand, proppant, scale, and other solid contaminants from the flow stream before they can damage downstream equipment such as chokes, valves, pumps, and separators. Based on field-proven designs that have been refined through years of real-world operational feedback, DEENPU trash catchers deliver reliable solids separation with minimal pressure drop and easy maintenance.
Each DEENPU trash catcher features a precision-machined cylindrical vessel housing a removable wire-mesh screen assembly. The screen captures solids while allowing fluid to pass through the vessel and continue downstream. The captured debris accumulates in the bottom of the vessel, and when the pressure differential across the screen indicates sufficient loading, the vessel can be quickly opened and cleaned without requiring any special tools.
DEENPU trash catchers are manufactured in-house from the highest quality alloy steel forgings, with stringent quality control and statistical process control applied at every stage. Available in 2″, 3″, and 4″ sizes with 1502 and 1002 hammer union connections, our trash catchers integrate seamlessly with standard well service manifold configurations. Both single and dual trash catcher manifolds are available, as well as custom configurations to match your specific wellsite requirements.
DEENPU trash catchers operate on the principle of mechanical filtration. High-pressure fluid enters the trash catcher vessel through the inlet connection and is directed into the cylindrical screen chamber. The flow passes radially through the wire-mesh screen, which traps solid particles larger than the mesh opening size while allowing the clean fluid to exit through the outlet.
As solids accumulate on the screen surface, the pressure differential across the trash catcher gradually increases. A differential pressure gauge installed across the inlet and outlet ports provides a clear indication of screen loading. When the differential pressure reaches the recommended service limit (typically 500-1,000 PSI), the operator isolates the trash catcher using the upstream and downstream plug valves, depressurizes the vessel, and opens the quick-release cover to remove the screen assembly for cleaning.
The entire cleaning process requires no special tools and can be completed in minutes by a trained technician. The wire-mesh screen is removed, cleaned with a high-pressure water jet or brush, inspected for damage, and reinstalled. The quick-release cover is re-secured, and the vessel is re-pressurized and returned to service. This simple, efficient maintenance process minimizes downtime and reduces total cost of ownership.
Based on designs refined through years of real-world operation in the most demanding well service environments. DEENPU trash catchers have been validated under continuous high-pressure, high-velocity flow conditions with abrasive sand and proppant loading.
The quick-release cover and screen assembly are designed for hand-tool disassembly only. No special wrenches, jigs, or workshop equipment are needed for routine cleaning and maintenance, making field servicing fast and straightforward.
All pressure-containing components are precision-machined in DEENPU’s own manufacturing facilities using CNC machining centers. This ensures tight dimensional tolerances, excellent surface finish, and consistent quality across every production batch.
The removable wire-mesh screen is manufactured from high-strength stainless steel with optimized mesh sizing for effective solids capture while maintaining acceptable flow capacity. Screens are available in multiple mesh sizes to match your debris profile.
Available in NACE MR0175 compliant configurations for H2S sour gas environments. NACE trash catchers are rated at 10,000 PSI and feature controlled-hardness materials and H2S-resistant seals. Standard non-NACE units are rated at 15,000 PSI.
DEENPU offers single trash catcher manifolds for straightforward installations, as well as dual trash catcher configurations that provide redundant protection and allow alternate cleaning without interrupting flow. Custom configurations are also available.

DEENPU trash catchers are available with a range of screen mesh sizes to match your specific debris profile and flow requirements. Standard mesh sizes include 20, 40, 60, 80, and 100 mesh. Custom mesh sizes and multi-layer screen configurations are available upon request. Consult our engineering team to select the optimal screen specification for your application.
The wire-mesh screen is mounted on a rigid cylindrical frame that slides into the trash catcher vessel. This removable design allows the screen to be completely extracted for cleaning, inspection, and replacement without disturbing the vessel body or piping connections.
Screen mesh is woven from high-grade stainless steel wire with excellent corrosion resistance and mechanical strength. The mesh maintains structural integrity under high differential pressure and is resistant to the corrosive effects of formation fluids, H2S, and CO2.
The screen is designed with a large cylindrical surface area that provides sufficient flow capacity while maintaining effective solids capture. The flow geometry minimizes turbulence and pressure drop, ensuring the trash catcher does not become a flow bottleneck.
